Chandler Rocks!
is a great place to live, work and play

Chandler has been one of the fastest growing cities in the nation - with good reason. This diverse community of more than 240,000 people offers something for just about everyone—and has the awards to prove it! We’ve been named one of the Top 100 Communities for Young People by the America’s Promise Alliance, One of the Top 5 Places to Retire by AARP and one of America’s Top Walking Communities by Prevention Magazine.

Chandler is a progressive city and the proud home to Intel and several other high tech businesses, earning us the nickname “Silicon Desert,’ while allowing residents to possess some of the highest per capita incomes in the Southwest.

Chandler also enjoys a tremendous array of housing options. While we will approach residential build-out in the next three to five years, we still have a number of very exciting master planned communities in development. Chandler’s historic downtown district also has two exciting town home projects under way that will bring a new critical pedestrian mass to the city core. And through careful planning and award-winning design standards, Chandler has in place a wonderful stock of existing neighborhoods sure to stand the test of time. As impressive as our housing stock is, we admit that the shopping is just as inspiring.

Shop Until You Drop
Chandler Fashion Center, a premier regional mall, offers individual services such as personal shopping, valet parking and a curbside concierge service where meals can be ordered ahead of time and delivered to your car. Shopping is only part of the fun as the mall features the Village, an outdoor pavilion with restaurants, a movie theater and an interactive water display of music, light and sound.

Chandler Fashion Center is located on Chandler Boulevard at the 101 Freeway, just three miles west of Historic Downtown Chandler.

Skating Destination
Chandler Pavilions and Casa Paloma is an experience. Upscale shops in an outdoor setting and a wide variety of restaurants make this an all-day destination. The center also hosts an indoor ice-skating rink for cool weather fun year-round. Special events are offered throughout the year, including the Saturday Market from October through May.

Historic Downtown
Historic Downtown Chandler is tailor-made for those who enjoy discovering the unique. Located on Arizona Avenue, just south of Chandler Boulevard, it’s lined with eclectic shops, galleries, restaurants, and a microbrewery and a winery. Restoration of the building facades has revived Chandler’s roots while bustling businesses attest to the success of modern day commerce.

Several art galleries offer classes to aspiring artists, while the monthly First Wednesday Art walk helps local artists showcase their talents.

Arts and Museums
Chandler boasts arts and museums for all tastes. The Chandler Center for the Arts is a world-class performing arts venue located in the heart of downtown that showcases some of today’s most talented performers. The Arizona Railway Museum is a community effort to showcase railway equipment, artifacts and mementos related to Arizona railways of the past and present.

Hours are noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (closed June-August). The Chandler Historic Museum preserves the rich history and heritage of Chandler. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday; Closed Sundays and holidays.

Recreation
It’s no wonder we’re considered one of the Top Communities for Young People with more than 50 parks including one of the country’s highest rated skate parks, a bike park, and neighborhood parks in walking distance from almost every home in the city.

Tumbleweed Park features a brand new multi-generational recreation center, tennis courts, an historic ranch area and Playtopia, a 2.5-acre themed playground. This park is home to Chandler’s unique Ostrich Festival, the Rhythm Fest and many more special events.
