Town and Country

Flagstaff, Arizona

Our clients may choose to take advantage of the fact that Hunter Custom Homes is an Authorized Director of Town & Country Cedar Homes based in Petoskey, Michigan.  Town & Country has been designing and building award winning log, timber-frame, craftsman and cottage style homes for over 60 years in both the United States and overseas.

These custom homes are distinctive in that they are made of Northern White Cedar, which is harvested in an environmentally sensitive manner from timber stands in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Canada.  This species of wood possesses a unique cellular structure which makes it naturally resistant to insects, moisture and decay.  No other wood species can stand up to the elements like Northern White Cedar, and it holds a finish well with its light and consistent coloring.  The Town & Country operation sets itself apart in that they control the entire fabrication process from harvesting the wood to milling, drying, cutting and crafting.

Hunter Custom Homes also has the unique advantage of an alliance with Town & Country's talented & experienced team of architectural degreed designers, engineers, and wood craftsmen along with an impressive sawmill and kiln-drying operation.  As a vertically integrated company, our partnership allows us to control the quality and schedule throughout the home building process, and offer the flexibility of providing everything from a custom design and materials construction package to a completely finished “turn-key” home.  Many of our clients have chosen to individualize one of the stock plans in the vast Town & Country design portfolio, or start from scratch in designing a totally unique custom home.  What does this mean to you?  Quite simply, a pleasant design and building experience for our clients who desire one of the finest wooden homes in America.
